FAQ – Do I Need to Purchase Special Equipment?
Each CERT member, who wishes to operate in the field, must provide a minimum amount of equipment. This equipment must be properly maintained and readily available for response to a situation. Members must bring equipment to the staging area.

REQUIRED:
- CERT vest
- CERT ID
- CERT Helmet w/chin strap
- Goggles
- Dust masks (N95 rated)
- Work gloves
- Latex gloves
- Flashlight(s) (w/batteries)
- Glow sticks
- Lumber crayons or marker
- Utility knife
- EMT shears/scissors
- Whistle
